Music Ministry

Welcome to the Music Ministry Department of the Refuge Way of the Cross Church

The Music Ministry of the Refuge Way of the Cross Church of Christ is dedicated to providing an atmosphere in which the Spirit of the Lord can dwell. We realize that music is a part of the service of the Lord and we have committed ourselves to offer to God the musical gifts and abilities He has bestowed upon us.  Psalms 150 gives us specific proof that music is indeed a rightful part of the praise that is due unto God.

Music Ministry Vision:
“Praise the LORD with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery [and] an instrument of ten strings. Sing unto him a new song; play skillfully with a loud noise.” Psalms 33: 2-3
Our desire is that as we play to the glory of God.  Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!

Mission Statement:
The Music Ministry is to usher in the Holy Spirit and set an atmosphere that’s conducive to yoke-destroying, burden-removing, deliverance & healing.

The calling of the Music Ministry is to help permeate the church atmosphere with praise and worship. The Music Ministry provides harmony between musical instruments and voices with the spirit of praise. This combination is an instrument used to promote God’s Word and God’s Glory. Once the presence of the Lord is present in the sanctuary, the yoke-destroying, burden-removing power of God can take precedence and the Holy Spirit can commence working in one’s life. The Holy Spirit brings about conviction, repentance and restoration through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through the Music Ministry, spiritual bondage is shattered and deliverance takes place in the heart of mankind. We feel that music is a gift from God and a blessing to His people. The Refuge Way Of The Cross Church believe that as praises go up, blessings will shower down upon God’s people as they worship Him in spirit and in truth.
